Hey everybody. I have an older pdvc 25. Stove was working great, my tenants cleaned it out after about a week of heavy use. When they went to start it back up it have an e2 that quickly switches to an e1. So i unplugged it, trimmed a bit of the vacuum line off as it was slightly brittle and then plugged it back in. Same thing. Then i grabbed the other end and blew on it and felt something move, plugged it back in and it ran for about 15 minutes before going back to e2/e1. Im going to clean out the chimney when i get home.

Ive seen tons of posts about this issue but never a resolution of the problem, so if someone can chime in on what it could be that would be greatly appreciated.

Ive had the stove for about 4 or so and its been a great working stove but its my tenants primary source of heat so i need it back up and running. Thanks in advance.

Sounds like this thing needs a good DEEP cleaning. Google or search on here for the leaf blower trick. I have this stove's big brother and these things like to be CLEAN. When you checked the vacuum lines, did you check both hoses? Did you check the port that goes from the firebox to the second vacuum switch? This port often gets overlooked.

That said, you can test to see if you have a bad switch by making a jumper wire to bypass the switch. Be careful, however, as you're dealing with 120 volts. Tape or some other way insulate your wires / jumper because bad things will happen if it shorts out the stove.
