I have a quad santa fe stove. Woodpellets.com is offering a spring purchase on these pellets. Any feedback would be great. I know a few members posted some issues with these pellets. My stove tends to be on the picky side with pellets. Since they are top dollar I want to make sure they are great pellets. My favorite pellet by far is the Vermonts but they are in short supply in my area. Thank you.

I bought a ton of these a few weeks ago during the pellet crisis of 2014 - they were the only available pellets to purchase as a ton (and got them from woodpellets.com). To make it short and sweet, I will never buy them again. My Enviro takes almost whatever I throw into it, and these pellets have gummed up the works more than once. I have never had a clinker before and I was left with a hockey puck after a few days of burning, and to top it all off, they do not seem to burn as hot as any other pellet I have pushed through.
This is just my own experience and yours may differ, but from what I have dealt with, from what I have read, and the rather high price/ton, I would look elsewhere.

I bought three tons last spring from woodpellets.com During the shoulder season, I was using bags I picked up from local stores as I didn't want to use the softies since they are a "premium" pellet and burn much hotter.
Once it got colder and I started to use the Cleanfires, I didn't think they were throwing the heat i remember from years past. Plus the ash wasn't great. Not awful, but not great.
I don't plan to burn them this year. Might try LGs.

I purchased the Cleanfires in April 2013 and used them all season. My Italian stove is very picky and got a small clinker once every 3 bags. Great heat, burn very clean. I liked the LG Granules better value.
Of course it changes from year to year..... but seeing how WP. com is selling LG's, and looking at the pictures ~ I would be willing to bet that the CleanFire Pacifics are LG's.
I bought the clean fire pacifics from wp.com a few years ago and loved them, great heat, a little ash but not bad. I got them real cheap, however; they have gone up quite a bit since then and I didn't lcare for the price.
I've been buring the LG softwoods the last three years and they're nice. Good heat, lots of fluffy ash and some clinkers on the left side of the burn pot. Glass gets dirty after a solid week of cold weather about 14 bags or so.
I just pulled the trigger on six tons of the LG Maximums hardwood from wp.com as I bought a half ton or so from local dealers this past winter as a try before you buy deal. Good heat and light on the ash, very fluffy and NO clinkers. All in all I've had good success with the LG products over the past 5 years. I did burn the regular CleanFire which we all know is the just the NEWP product, personally I don't think they're all that bad.

Their advertised price is way too high, but they will (or at least used to) price match.
My coworker loves them. I tried a few bags of his and they were fine. I then bought 1ton a few weeks ago from woodpellets.com and they are TOTALLY different. Much darker, more fines. It hasn't been cold enough to really put them to the test, but is won't be using them to stock up for next year. I think 5 ton of Barefoots or okanagan are in my future.
