Hello Team.
I recently acquired a home (this summer) and her accompanying pellet stove.
After exhaustive search, I have learned quite a bit and this forum is one of the best tech forums ever seen!
Please help if you can:
MFR: Dansons (Canadian Comfort Industries) "PelPro"
Model: CPP2BD
S/N: 18140
Control board: "Accutron Look-Alike"
Mfr Date: 2011
I learned to not expect tech support from DANSONS.
I learned the same goes for PelPro.
Problem:
Shutoff after 15 minutes of ignition.
#3 Light Flashing Error Code: Low Side Problem
Actions taken:
1. Full clean out: Fans (both), exhaust blown out, burn-pot.
2. New gaskets installed.
3. Full range adjustment of settings on control board to r/o failure.
4. L120 Snap Switch (POF?) pulled and tested to be functional.
5. Both fans "jumped" to determine effectiveness.
6. Temp testing throughout internal and external unit.
Findings:
1. L120 Snap Switch functions: heated to 120+ yields 0-ohms, returns to 1+ after cooling.
2. Combustion fan housing temp tested and noted to only reach 98-108*!!
3. After "jumping" the fans, unit works fine, so far....
4. Noted prior owner/tech bypassed the vacuum switch!
Needs:
1. User/Technical manual for this particular model or her equivalent clone.
2. Combustion fan housing runs much cooler than required for snap-switch to engage... relocate switch?
3. Best source for replacement switches: vacuum & snaps...
4. What control board do I have; PelPro informs me it is no Accutron, PelPro denies knowledge of my Model # or S/N...
I hope the pics are helpful...
Thanks in advance!
