...wood stoves! This is a great read if you are interested in the history of American wood stoves. (This story by no means starts at the beginning; it focuses on Detroit's role after Detroit gained ironworking capabilities.)

Lots of interesting stuff in there. Like in the 1830s, they commenced hauling firewood from Canada into Detroit on trains because Detroit had no trees in harvesting range, because of open fireplaces.

Edit: Found Detroit Stove Works' 1911 catalog online.

236 pages. Interesting though, and it talks about the plant and their showrooms.
