We don't have that type of cold, but I am burning my Jotul Castine tonight. March 24 in central Texas with a fire is real late. Had A/C on a couple of nights ago. Probably will burn tomorrow night as well. Might freeze here with all trees budding except the reliable pecan. The local wisdom is that when the pecan buds you can plant anything.
Down to 5 here in the Denver area tonight beetle and we are sitting at 72 inside with the princess insert. I even had to buy another 1/4 cord to get me through. Stay warm

And who is dumber . . . a large rodent who supposedly predicts the start of Spring or the hordes of folks who eagerly await his emergence in the hopes of him seeing or not seeing his shadow as they believe it may predict an early Spring? I tell ya . . . sometimes I think we're just one step away from the good ol' days when the earth was flat and the center of the universe.

They get that Groundhog OUT of the hole on Feb 2Nd with electric heaters that heats up the hole till the poor guy comes out to cool off. Just another tip from your uncle earl.News Flash! Just heard on the local news the groundhog entered the witness protection program today!
