dirty pellet stove glass

I have a Regency Hampton GC60 that I purchased about 2 years ago. After running for less than a day the glass starts to get dirty on the right side and top right side only. I have to clean it every couple of days or it takes a long time to clean after a week. I tried raising the combustion trim and lowering the fuel trim and that seemed to help a little. I burn engergex pellets. Anyone have any suggestions?

I've heard that certain brands and also type of pellets (hardwood, softwood, blends, etc) have an impact and obviously the ash residue content rating have an effect. I would try different brands and ratings and see. I settled in on .39% ash as this is what is most affordable for me, I hope that is good enough, not sure what others consider acceptable....I have not found a brand that is better or worse yet, last 2 seasons I've gone with Granules LG.

Also a neighbor with a stove suggested I use the ceramic stovetop cleaner on the glass and it works well for me. I have to clean mine once a week to get it perfect, and after about a day or two it starts getting a little cloudy. By the end of the week it definitely needs the cleaning. I love it when its perfectly clean so sometimes I clean more often.

i have the vistaflame vf55.its pretty much the same as your stove and its a clone of the m55.the ash pattern that you are dealing with is common to all these stoves and is the only flaw i find with mine.you will find plenty of threads on that if you do a search.peace,corkman

I open the door, wait a few seconds for flame to die down, and wipe those pesky corner smudges with a rag...
takes a second.....steady burning seems to eliminate the brown stains I used to get.
