Do I need RTV on this joint?

The instructions don't say anything about sealer here. It says just put two screws in it? Seems like it would leak? However, I want to be able to disconnect the stove somewhat easily if I need to service/clean it.

Yes.. High Temp RTV (silicone) on the stove adapter.. I used Pellet Vent Pro and that was the only area I used the High Temp..

yes, put it inside the stainless collar of the adapter, a thin 1/4 inch bead and then set with one self tapping screw that you can get to with the rear service panel on.
