What exactly am I looking for with the bill test? Should I be able to pull it out with some effort, no effort or not with out tearing it? Reason I am asking our stove was serviced ( total clean ) and we had a 3/4 " that was replaced with a 1/2" as tech said he has never seen the 3/4" . I tightened the latch as far as it will go and hence my question. Is a phone call needed ..... an answer here will tell. Thanks!

There should be a LOT of drag on the dollar bill.
If it's totally stuck to the point of tearing when you pull on it, that's not a bad thing,
but too loose is not good...

Thanks Daksy...Another question..as the stove heats would that seal the door tighter?

Again I thank you.

If it calls for 3/4 inch it should have 3/4 inch. I guess if you scrunched up a 1/2 it would work for a while. Ive always been able to pull out paper with some effort sometimes it will tear.

Take a lighter and go around the door and see if the flame gets sucked in that is another way to check.
