I just acquired a Model 100. 3340 Earth Stove. I bought one new in the late 70’s & loved it. Also bought an insert & converted to shop stove. It worked great. My questions about this one: (1) there is a 1” pipe coming into the back at the top of the stove. It makes a 90 & goes up the center of the flu about 4’ or so. I assume this is to help the draft. Is there some kind of blower that attaches to it or is it to be left open. There are no threads or attachment to the back of the stove. (2). There are two 1/2” tubes that enters the firebox above the firebrick & exits inside the stove, high in the firebox. The ends are mashed to provide a narrower opening. I assume this is for secondary combustion. Does this actually work. Thank you for your insight on these stoves.

Does this piping look factory or added on? Can you post some pictures?

The pipes look factory to me. This was in a lake house built in the early 80’s. Don’t think anyone has modified it.??? Pics are not great. Not much light where I have it stored. Thanks for your help.
