I have a customer that purchased a ps50 from me and is having trouble with the blower. The stove runs great on low medium and high as far as the flame is concerned. But there is hardly any noticeable difference on the blower speed from low to medium. Unit is brand new off my showroom floor, never been ran or installed. I called tech. All the wires are in the correct order. Line voltage coming in is 119. Voltage to blower on low is 81, medium is 89, high is 119. So the control board is breaking it down like it should. I installed a new convection blower and control board but no differences made. ANY HELP IS GREATLY APPRECIATED.

Not a significant voltage difference between low and medium to change the fan either... the jump to high is more significant voltage wise too.
For the heck of it, did you change out the snap disc too? While unlikely, that's all that's left.

I did not change the snap disc, only because I didn't have one handy. But the voltage readings is from the high side (fan side) of the snap disc. I just feel like I let the guy down after what he has been through with another stove store, while I have other customers with the ps50 and cab50 that are happy with them and don't have hardly any trouble out of them.

Just wondering what effect, if any, it might have as it would be completing the loop to the control board. The snaps seems to be the weakest link in the system....

As far as determining the rpms at each voltage, I do not have a way, but with that being said I do know that the "rpms" written on the motor are 2700/2950 @ 115 volts. Which according to tech is supposed to be around 220 cfm. I'm going to try to bypass the snap disc later today and see if there is any effects. The only downfall to bypassing the snap disc is that the blower will run weather the stove is on or not.
There is not much of a difference between low and medium on my PS50. But there is a huge difference between medium and high.
So I would imagine this might be normal operation of the stove.

Rexrules, Ok well its good to hear that im not the only one with this in a way. But im going to look at another one that a friend of family has and see what his is like to compare to. If there is any difference with his I will certainly let you know. But as far as a constant running level which one do you seem to run yours on the most since they are so close in speed? Thanks I really appreciate both of you helping out.
