Here you go: first base gasification; second base the pellet mill; third base the gear; home run the green room.

It's a GPS guided robot mower that clips the grass, squeezes out the juice, dries the clippings with engine heat, and then pellitizes the biomass into a bin. Meanwhile pellets are augured into a biomass gasification unit, whose output is cooled and scrubbed for use as fuel for an internal combustion engine that provides the mechanical energy for the system. Excess pellets can be used for biomass fuel or for animal feed. One unexpected benefit is that the the naturally low-moisture grass pellets turn out to be an ideal fuel for biomass-powered flying cars.

That is really neat !

Y'all get this is a engineering student senior design project, right? Wonder is they estimated the production cost as part of their 'paper' design.

Actually according to the article in Farm Show the developer of the 'Iron Goat', Jason Force, is actively marketing the system based on a working prototype, and says "The current plan is that we would provide this as a service and sell the pellets". Force acknowledges that, "The primary technical challenge right now is balancing equipment and development cost against lifetime maintenance.".

I don't buy it. You'dd be better off with a E-Cow-Moo self-fueled mower. Maybe a E-Goat-Pelletizer.
