I have a Eko 60 boiler, installed in 2008. i see they discontinued these boilers, and probably parts as well.

really the only things ive had to replace is door gaskets and i have replaced the controller twice.

so i suppose when this one dies ill be in the market for a new gasifier boiler.

whats out there for good boiler brands these days, anyone making control units any more for these boilers??

i guess everyone has switched to fiberglass gaskets instead of the silicone eko ones??

I havent been on this forum in probabley 10 yrs so im outta the loop....

Hi, I have an EKO 25 that overheated. So hot it melted the controller. I was able to order a replacement from Polland and received it a couple of weeks ago. Had an Electrician come to install for me and he realized it is 230 Volts. Any suggestions on either how to use this or where to get another replacement with the correct voltage? Thanks, Mike, Kerhonkson Ny

A power converter may be your best bet if you want to use that RK-1200 unit from Poland.

I'm working with a guy from Canada on a different controller for our Ekos (I have a 40 with a bad controller) as I'm up against the same issue of these RK units failing, them being hard to get, and I really want to both get away from them, AND have more/better control over my boiler. Look up "Boiler Assistant" on Facebook (which is a black hole for knowledge) under 'Groups' and take a look around.

Most homes have 220/230V...just tie it in

Some items will work fine, but European voltage is also at 50Hz while ours is 60Hz. Motors are sometimes a no-no. Not sure on sensitive electronics.
Ah...yeah that's right...many times newer electronics will take either. Heck, a lot of this newer stuff will run on almost anything...AC, DC, low voltage, high voltage...just plug it in! I'd think something in the control box would say that if it was though...

Sorry for the delay with an update. Actually, there is no update on a new one Yet. Just still trying to get the incorrect one replaced. Orlan in Polland has Ignored my 4 e mails regarding the incorrect controller. I did contact the maker of the controllers, P.W. Key. I can confirm that they will not ship to the U.S.. They did say I can arrange a pickup myself. Problem there is that the unit is reasonable about $125 BUT shipping with Fed x is over $500 for a 2 lb package. I then tried UPS and they are at $375. Original shipping was about $120 for my incorrect unit. So I am just trying to figure a reasonable way to get this to me from Polland without paying 4 times the cost of this small 2 lb unit in postage.
