Eleana Air Plus Pellet stove making lots of soot

I have an Eleana Air Plus Pellet Stove that creates a lot of soot when burning. I've cleaned it, doesn't help. Tried pellets my sister burns in her stove which runs fine. No difference in mine. Auger runs every 3 to 4 seconds. Stove shuts down when ash pot becomes full of a hard tarry substance. I've been reading the forum here and it has good suggestions. I need some detailed instructions on how to adjust the auger speed and exhaust speed. Any information would be greatly appreciated as the company that sold it to me no longer sells this product and won't help me much at all.

When was the last time you cleaned out the flue pipes, and the internal rear exhaust passages of the stove ? (you need to pull the side panels off the stove cabinet to get to the rear clean-out ports)

Was the stove operating properly in the past?

Welcome to the forum ... Does your sister happen to live near Fort Frances (I may have talked to them before we bought ours)?

Added to Pelleting's comments, how old is your stove and when was the last time you opened the exhaust blower and cleaned blades?

What power level are you burning at? Have you changed any settings?

Aside from cleaning the rear passages, make sure the heat exchanger is cleaned. If its a double stacked exchanger like my Ravelli, a lot of ash can hide up in there and cause a lazy sooty burn too!

Elena Air is an Ecoteck Ravelli stove (they use the Ravelli name now) that has the double row of heat exchangers ... but really good point. I take a 1" putty knife to draw ash from the sides and front/back corners of the "smoke shelf" and drop into the firebox. At least once a week, this is part of the cleaning routine.
