Scent I have had this stove stirrer won't move and I have a squeal ,got the stove Nov 18,2014.Have lot of ash on door and pellets

What did Englander customer support, phone number on the first page of the manual, say when you called them?

I haven't been able to get a hold of them,it is always busy

Ah OK. Yeah the start of the heating season usually floods them with calls. Wish they could fix that.

Guessing that it is the 49-SHCMP multi-fuel stove. Several people here have them and should be able to help.

So if you press and hold the "Air On" button, the stirrer does nothing?

Very odd. I did read a post earlier of someone whose control board wasn't hooked up correctly from the factory, Can you use the manual to check the connections on the control board (before assuming it's defective)?

Edit: also note that the wires can be pulled off when reaching in to the stove to connect a thermostat, for instance.
