I just picked up a 2008 Englander off Craigslist and installed it today.
I fired it up and let it run for over an hour on heat setting "5" but the room air blower only ever spun slowly. The top of the stove got way to hot to touch in that time. I checked the bottom right button "Air on Temp" and it displays "1".
If I look behind it, the fan to cool the motor is spinning so the fan is turning. Because of this I assume the heat sensor is working. Starting from a setting of 9 and turning it down at setting 5 I can hear a change in the fan. Going down to 1 I can hear barely perceptible changes at each setting. At settings above 5 I can't hear any difference.
When I unplug the stove and watch the cooling fan in the back it takes forever to spin down, so it doesn't seem as if the fan is difficult to turn.
I switched the fan leads to the lower auger motor and it was the same thing, could barely feel a breath of air on the back of my hand. I'm assuming it's time for a new fan?
Thanks
