i am having trouble with my stove. went away for a couple of days. filled hopper before I left knowing it would run out and boiler would take over. I got home emptied ash pan and vacuumed inside stove. filled hopper and turned stove on. everything worked fine. then 20 min later pellets stopped feeding. took auger loose to make sure there wasn't a jam. put auger back in and lit stove. worked for another 20- 30 minutes before going out again. lit stove again only to have it go out for the 3rd time. what might be causing this. stove worked perfect before I went away.

also, a few weeks ago, the convection blower would only run on "high". if I tried to turn it down a little it would just stop working. could this have something to do with the stove stopping the feed after a little while?

Just an update....

Tonight I cleaned the exhaust blower and made sure the vaccum hose was free from any ash. Checked the cap on liner everything was ok. Started stove and it ran great. Until about 4 hours later and went out. The pellets stop feedin but the green light still comes on. The auger isn't turning. I reached in and turned the auger a hair and it started to feed pellets again.

So do I need a new auger motor or is something else stopping it?

Had that same stove for a year and a had nothing but problems with it. Tech did everything from new snap disc to this and that .finally solved it by trading it in.when the tech took it he said we can't resell this and will be used for scrap metal. good luck

The brass bushing can be gummed up, I would pull the auger out and buff it with a wire wheel and check for any burrs or ruff edges. If so grind with a grinding wheel, then clean out the brass bushing and put some 3-1 oil on it, Then put in a high quality Gleason-Avery 1 RPM CW auger motor.

Before you do all that, I would jump out the vacuum switch and see if the stove runs longer. Old worn and brittle vacuum switch bladders can fail when the stove heats up. I have seen it many times.

If it were a vac issue, the light would be solid green, FYI

Check your low limit / proof of fire switch as well, that timing is about right.

I ended up replacing the auger motor and the bushing plate. Everything was running great. Ran out of the green team pellets I was using. Got a few bags of lignetics, stove chow, and green supreme till they get the green teams back. Now the stove won't run well below 12 o'clock position. Flame is very inconsistent. Sometimes barely even going and other times nice and above the burn pot. Tired of fooling with this stove. Gave it a good cleaning when I was working on the motor. What's up with it now?

I did the same thing on mine. New auger new snap disc and and same problems.I feel for you sir. That's why I traded mine in for a Harman. Night and day difference. Hope you have better luck than I did with the enviro .

Yes, if the stove trips high limit it no feed pellets, if the convection blower doesn't work correctly it will hit the high temperature limit, if the blower hasn't bee kept clean or oiled if oil-able then it won't send enoght air flow through the heat exchange to keep it below high limit.

Which pellet brand was in the stove when it acted up this time? I am burning Stove Chows and have no issues with them. The Greene Supreams suck in my opinion but that's me. I couldn't get my stove to burn them with the setting any lower then 12. PM me and I will give you my results with my displeasures with my EF 2, as it is pretty much the same stove.
