Just finished fitting an Extraflame Liliana Idro pellet stove (made in Italy). This was bought second hand and is quite old, but it's very similar to the much newer Extraflame stoves, and the mechanics and electrics are basically the same. I had to fix a few issues with it - water pressure sensor and ignitor failures, and it's running nicely now, but about twice a day it ends up with a fault 'Trapdoor blocked' - which is caused when the burn pot automatically empties into the ash pan. Despite the error, there actually doesn't seem to be any issue with the trapdoor which seems to open and close properly. If I shut down the stove and restart it, it works fine. The only thing I can think of is that either there is an iffy microswitch or a switch that needs some repositioning, or maybe there is play in the worm drive.....but I can't find evidence of either being the source of the problem. I bet someone has seen this problem before, as they are very popular stoves in Europe, but searches haven't revealed anything. I was hoping I could find a service manual online (for any extraflame stove), but can't find one anywhere. Anyone got any suggestions?

Hello, we are getting a similar error code on our extraflame HP15 (probably the worst pellet boiler on the market). Constantly getting either trapdoor blocked error, or no ignition.
The "no ignition" code was actually resolved quite easily, it was a tripped switch, which can be found at the back right of the boiler. There are actually 2 switches, and for some reason (unknown to the engineer) it would trip every so often. Easy enough fix, press the switch, and back in action.

Now the real problem is this "trapdrblcked" error.... what we have found that every so often, the worm drive will come out of the motor. the engineer said it was because the guide rails were getting rusty, and so would refuse to move, and hence the worm comes out of the motor. But this time, after addressing the problem straight away, put the worm back in the motor and fired her up. this time, which is the first time it has done this, the motor is turning to do the "final cleaning",but it is pushing the trapdoor further and further forward against the boiler front door, which in turn is forcing the motor back. now we cannot get the worm out of the motor, or free it up enough to be able to shut the front door. and this problem persists.

My question is, why is this doing his now when it never has, after greasing everything and freeing everything up. the trap door has actually pushed so hard against the front door, that it has damaged the vermiculite brick used to keep the heat in....

If anyone has experienced any issue like this, please help!!
