Going to fire up the Castine for the first time tonight. It was 37 degrees overnight here in Central Massachusetts, and it's expected to be a bit colder tonight. The house was quite chilly when I woke up this morning [thanks to a basement window I left open!].
Haven't fired up the furnace yet, but I did light the small propane stove in our kitchen over the weekend for the wife.
Any other Bay Staters - or New Englanders - planning to fire up soon?

here. The window air conditioners let the coolness in. This burning business can wait several more weeks, I am no hurry.
haha It was still in the 40's this am when I woke up around 6am. Last night I was painting my downstairs in an attempt to get it all finished up before burning season and was painting the windows with them open and had to shut them. It was getting a little cool down there. Went up stairs and the better half was baking making the kitchen and living room nice and toasty. Bedroom window was open a hair last night and house was still in the mid 60's this am. Looks like the next week its going to stay pretty warm around here according to NOAA.gov. I'm alright with that, have to get my hearth done!
