Came across a 76 poppa bear at reasonable price. Have read on forum on baffle to increase efficiency. Looked at stove to evaluate for this mod and o don’t see the small piece of steel under flue. Do I have to weld a piece in to lay plate on or do I just let it rest on steel that holds rear bricks in place? Also this stove only has a bead on stove to “seal” the doors, is that correct. And finally I noticed that the left door handle is non functional is that also correct? Thank you for your timely response to a new forum user! Warmest Regards
