We are looking into purchasing a wood pellet or wood burning insert. Does anyone have any suggestions about which brand is better than others? I have seen prices anywhere from @$2,000 - @$3,700. We had an insert years ago, and it really didn't do much as far as heating the house. We are interested in heating the house, so if we have to pay more, we will. Thanks for any information.

Enviro, Quadrafire and Harman are 3 good brands to start with. What size house? Have you checked on availability of pellets in your area and whether they are in stock now?
