25 degrees out, my stove on 5 (highest setting) air pulled out to 1 3/4" and I can't get it above 70 degrees 5 feet away from my stove....
and I have been going through 2 bags in 24 hrs.

grrrrrrrrrrr....

Eric

Is this a Breckwell? Running your stove on level five is over 5 lbs of pellets in an hour. 5 x 24 = 120. You should not run your stove on level 5 for more than a few hours. Then turn it down. How is everything else running?

What kind of stove is it? I have been told that if your heat exchanger tubes get real dirty then it can have a dramatic result on your heat output. I had one dealer tell me that a worse case scenario that he has seen is with extreme buildup on the tubes the owner was getting somewhere around 1/4 of the heat output he should have been getting. Also what kind of flame are you getting, that would let some of the experts here really narrow down what is going on. I have heard a good burning stove described as having an angry flame burning hot and clean while a poor running stove having a lazy dirty flame.

Anyone got a picture of a dirty lazy flame, I know that would help me diagnose

I have a kozi 120

( wish I found this forum first before I bought)

I could get one, but I'm afraid the flash might wake her up LOL

24 years of marriage...I have earned the right to my opinion.

I think my problem was the tstat. I put my stove back on manual and at the same distant in front of my stove it is 77 degrees on heat setting 4. now grant it, it is about 9 degrees warmer outside but I also have my stove on a lower setting... so not sure why the tstat would effect it but....

Was your thermostat set on 70? Would that explain why it wouldn't go above 70?
