I am still somewhat new to grinding my own chains and have a question about grinding one that had an unfortunate encounter with a rock this morning
Looking at the chain it appears it only contacted the rock on one side of the chain but the top of the teeth on that side have quite a bit of bevel on them. My guess is that I would need to grind .050 plus to get rid of all the damage. My question is, do I need to go ahead and grind all the bevel out of the teeth or can I leave some? The other side looks normal on the top of the teeth and I hate to grind more than needed. Thanks for any advice.
