We have been looking into purchasing a pellet stove, and seem to have narrowed our choices to the Harman P43 and Enviro Meridian. I have heard and read great things about Harman, but have also been informed that they have changed some of their internal parts and where they are manufactured in the last few years causing issues with the units. Does anyone have any experience with a Harman P43 that they have purchased in the last 2 years or so? I have been told that since we are in Canada, the Enviro Meridian is a better choice due to availability of parts, etc., so if anyone has any experience with the Enviro Meridian units I would appreciate any feedback on those as well.

We bought a P43 23 months ago and have burned about 6 tons of pellets in that time with no problems at all. I haven't replaced a single part on that stove. We burn in auto mode just about all heating season so the igniter has cycled many times and still works great. Just keep it clean and it should be fine for you. We really like ours. I think it was money well spent.

I own an M55 steel from Enviro and I haven't had any problems. I don't think you can go with these two manufacturers. They are proven products. Given that you will have sized the unit BTU's according to your home, pick the one that is aesthetically pleasing to you, because you are going to have to look at it for a long time.

I have a 1 year old p43
. Hands down the best purchase I ever made.. no problems ...

Mine is just a year old and everything is fine. Maybe you heard this from a competing dealer.

I've had my Meridian for 11 years. It's been a very reliable stove, I've only had to replace a combustion motor and a high temp sensor in the 10 years I've owned it. Take a look at the Enviro M55 as well. My parents have one and it's one impressive stove.

Hi - thanks so much for your response - do your parents have the Enviro M55 steel or cast iron? Also, how easy are these to maintain? This is actually for my parents, and we need something that they can manage easily. Thanks again!
