Have a P43 that a customer of mine has and he came home to it shut down, says no status light blinking. Says status light on and combustion light on but it is doing nothing. Had him put it in test mode and he states it's doing the same thing, and nothing is working. I just put a used combustion motor a couple of weeks ago and throughly cleaned his stove a couple weeks prior. Any thoughts please..fred

Did you have him try unplugging the stove then plugging it back in to reset the board?

Is the exhaust fan working? If the fan is not working the rest of the firing cycle won't complete because the vac switch isn't closing. How were the gaskets when you serviced it when you replaced the exhaust fan with the used unit?

He lives about 65 miles away, trying to resolve over phone. But if the combustion motor doesnt allow the stove to come on if its burnt out then that is probably the problem. Would that still apply in test mode, as when he swaps to test mode it still doesnt work. Thanks in advance.

Most stoves are exhaust fan priority as that really is the most important thing. Another thing to check is the vacuum line from the fire chamber to the vac switch. If that gets plugged then the vac switch will not function but if the exhaust fan is not functioning will have to get that functioning first.
If one looks at the flow charts of most stoves the exhaust fan is the first thing on and when that provides a vacuum the vac switch closes and allows the auger circuit to feed etc. and then the board gets signal to start the ignition cycle.

Does he have it in the off position? You might laugh but I have seen dumber things.
Even in the off position, it should run thru the blower test real quick when put into test mode. If the stove is off, and the door is open you can set it in test and the exhaust fan will run continuously until you close the door - great during cleaning so it sucks any stirred up ash out the vent instead of it going into the room.
