Harman p61 dirty glass from flames

I have a Harman p61 pellet stove. It has been working fine, throwing its of heat, but lately I have noticed that twin I turn up the fan, the flames shoot diagonally towards the glass in the door. this causes the top half of the glass to get dirty fast. any ideas why this is happening?

Hopper gasket is suspect, too much air through the auger vs the burn pot.
