Harman P68 in Auto mode not shutting down?

Guys, I just installed my Harman P68 last night, I have it set in auto mode and have the temp dial set to around 70~75. However, the wall thermostat is saying the room is near 77/80. I don't seem to see the stove shutting down. Has anyone seen this before? I guess I should try turning the dial all the way down to the lowest temp setting and seeing if it shuts down then. If not does anyone have any suggestion or have seen this before?

First of all, is the igniter switch on auto or manual? Turn it to auto. Secondly, where is the temperature probe? If it's on a cold surface, that's what the stove is responding to, not the air temperature. It takes awhile to respond to temperature changes, and takes quite awhile to shut down. However, if it's in manual mode for igniter switch it won't shut off.

re-position your probe and check the ignitor switch, good call newf.

So i discovered the probe must be working because when i turned the temp down to 55 the fire dropped low. I have the stove on room mode and auto ignite. I think the problem may be I have the probe behind the stove. I just moved it off to the side no the floor. I could feel the air was noticably colder behind the stove so perhaps that was the issue. I also didn't realize it could take 45-60 minutes for the fire to actually burn out once it reaches temp.
