Harman P68 Overfeeding Pellets

Tonight I just noticed the P68 overfeeding pellets into the ash box. The stove was cold, but it was spitting sparks like it wanted to try to light but would not.

The fan control works, it turns the stove off and on. The temp control does not seem to make a difference. It always is on and feeds pellets regardless of the temp position.

I am going to clean it out again very well in the next few days but was hoping to get some troubleshooting steps before having the dealer roll a truck and raid my wallet.

Just went down and found the stove lit with a small amount of fan like it was ramping down to turn off. Turned the stove back on and it now seems like it is working normally. Very strange. I wonder if a pot is dirty or the esp sensor is bad.

The first thing I'd do is give it a thorough cleaning, including removing and cleaning the ignitor.

That is my plan. Stove seems to act up the night before I have to go back to work. Had not thought about cleaning the ignitor. Anything to cleaning the ignitor short of shopvac with a brush?

Nope, just take it out and brush out any crud.

Make sure your burn pot is free of carbon deposits and clean out all the holes. You can use a screw, nail, etc. A flashlight and a small mirror can help a lot.
