We have owned our P68 now for two 1/2 years, have been using pellet stoves for over 10. First season, the stove kicked butt. Second year, not so good and now it's really bad. Husband is a mechanic, so he always works on our own stuff and this one has him baffled. The colder out it gets, the smaller the flame and heat output. The warmer out it gets, the hotter it burns. Just changed the exhaust probe - it didn't make a difference. Purchased a new board, seemed to be better for three days, and now we are hit with the frigid temps and it burns as if its on low and is not keeping this old house warm at all. Can practically put your hand on the top of the stove. We don't have the t'stat hooked up, that was something we first tried, so it's set to stove temp. Anyone have any thoughts??

Feed rate is as high as it will go, unit is all cleaned, pellets are premium hardwood pellets. All the basics have been covered. Since I posted this we turned a fan to blow on the exhaust (which is clean btw, the dust door, etc...all clean) and since the fan is blowing on the exhaust the flame is higher

This is our first year with a 68. Your predicament is our biggest fear... Not knowing what is wrong when it goes down.

Are you using an OAK? Is it clear of obstructions? Ice?
Try plugging in the room sensor and switching it to "room mode". A buddy of mine was obsessed with running his stove (my old stove) in stove temp mode and always complained about the low output. I finally convinced him to try room temp mode and he said it made all the difference in the world. Why the stove burned hotter in room temp than stove temp is baffling, but it worked.
