[Hearth.com] Harmon XXV Blower Mounting Plate Removal
Have a Harmon XXV that needs a new combustion blower. The blower mounting plate is stuck and in trying to remove the blower assembly, the screws that attach the blower motor to the mounting plate came off. Cut the motor shaft; does anyone have any ideas how to remove the blower mounting plate when the blower motor is not attached?

Could you take the stove pipe adapter off?

Might have to tap on it with hammer

Thanks for the suggestions. Removing the tail pipe didn't offer better access from the inside of the combustion box. While the motor was on, I was pumping WD40 and tapping with a hammer to address what I'm assumming was the gasket. Still doing the WD40 and hammer. I'm trying to pry with a large screw driver. Has anyone used an adjustible spanner wrench?

You could drill into the plate and put some screws in with a board but not sure if you can do that ie damage the fan
