CNN reports: "Nearly half of the women questioned by Harris Interactive said they'd be willing to forgo sex for two weeks, rather than give up their Internet access, according to a study released Monday by Intel, which commissioned the survey." (broken link removed)

Let's hear the story behind the story. Just how "boiling hot" is the Boiler Room?

I think you can enjoy both at the same time.

Hah....two weeks???? I think most women could go three months without relations if they had to......

I spend so much time fine tuning and taking mental notes on re-plumbing for additional storage the EKO is like "THE OTHER WOMAN"

Guys,
This website is a great resource.......but not that great.....

So 'laying pipe' doesn't have reference to burying ThermaPex??

The real question is, when you get your boiler hot, does it return the favor?

I can enjoy my wood boiler heat and hot water 365/7 without asking for it!

BrotherBart,
I believe that's a quote form the Cadillac commercial...

i hope your wives are not reading this.if so there will be a lot sad men. jimbo hows everything running today?

Hearth doesnt take half your stuff whining they are entitled and snatch your kids as a suppliment to their income

There are at least two problems here.
1:The boiler has them so warm and comfy they don't need our thermals. (!????!?)
2:The computer runs on electricity and has pass words. So when the power goes out or the computer malfunctions why do we feel we have to fix it? (the answer is problem #3__________________ ____________________ &_______________________.) Blanks are conveniently used for your discretion.
And one further observation, which may mean it is near to hopeless and I'm not trying to gender bash, when the dating process was still going on....Who was it that seemed to lose track of time the most?.........with an addendum "Oh! Is that still on the list?"

At night... they(boiler and wife) both keep me warm.. and give me a cozy... secure feeling. ( My wife is reading this as I type). Points for me!

I know I know- I've seen those shirts that the girl is wearing that say I Have the P@$$Y so I make the rules. She may have the carpet, but I have the cash................

I'm working towards a Sequoyah 3400 and if it's half as hot as my wife, I'll be a Happy Man. lol :-) Oh, by the way, she doesn't use a computer. She stays in the kitchen. lol

OMG- I thought I was the guy who started threads or made comments that got canned to the Ash Can

I am divorced, and, based on experience. most women cannot cope with me, and/ or I cannot cope with them. I am not saying one is better or worse. I think, from what I have seen, that men and women are both insane, only in different ways.

I met a woman lately who might actually want to help fool with wrenches and do a mutual strip tease in front of a hot fire, and also be fine with doing her thing on other interests for long stretches of time while I pursue mine, and then re-joining for some appropriate adult fun, often, in between other things.

if she is half the woman she seems to be, then I will be a happy, lucky, and very warm, man.

I will take this slow.

Irrational exuberance with women has only gotten me debt so far. Boilers are simpler and less risky.

It's like someone said on another group I am part of where people fool with 1950s military surplus radio transmitters that run about three thousand volts on the vacuum tubes' plates: "be careful guys, the things we like to play with after dark could get us killed if we are not careful" and then someone else said "wait, I am already divorced"

If it's me you are referring to, I've reformed - as you can see.

I met a woman lately who might actually want to help fool with wrenches and do a mutual strip tease in front of a hot fire, and also be fine with doing her thing on other interests for long stretches of time while I pursue mine, and then re-joining for some appropriate adult fun, often, in between other things.

That's a pretty accurate description of my wife and me. I was divorced after 12 years of marriage, 3 kids. Remarried 1-1/2 years later to a 30 year old woman, never married before, very independent. Now, 28 years later we're still as happy as the wedding day. She does her things on her own, I do mine, and we do ours. I've been retired now for 2 years, my wife is still working and, as we like to say, keeping me living in the manner to which I've become accustomed. BTW, it took (quite) a few years, but family events, whether hosted by us or my ex, include all of us and we get along well. My ex accepted my wife from the beginning. When needed my wife was the rock of stability in our sometimes crazy triangle.

Hope things go well for you. Happy holidays.

my better half expects quality time in bed every night I'm home unless there isn't heat/ water / electricity in operating order in the house. This august will be our tenth anniversary.
