Hearth possibly moving away from wall?

While painting I noticed the hearth is much further away from the wall near the ceiling than it is near the floor. Is this a structural problem that needs addressed? I purchased the home earlier this year. Anything helps!

Probably just the wall drying out. Let it go awhile longer then decide what you want to fill the gap with. Hopefully the brickwork is strapped onto the wall.

Just monitor it and check for gaps inside. Its most likely just settling but only way to know if its a problem is monitoring for more movement
