Question:

i have a steel king wood/coal boiler heating my home. i would like to install a heat storage system to enhance it. what do i need? tanks, what size? controls? flow diagram, etc.

Answer:

You may be able to find out some tank info at:

They may sell the tanks. You generally need at least 400-500 gallons to do a lot of good. The control and piping can depend on many different factors including the type of radiation in the home, outdoor temp, etc.

The basic arrangement is that the tanks are piped to the home to heat it, while the boiler is piped to the tanks to heat them.
