Help identifying a Godin stove please?! :)

Hi, I have a beautiful Godin fireplace but I am non the wiser of its age, worth, model etc… any information would be greatly appreciated! Thank you in advance

This is a fantastic looking fireplace front. I can't find anything even close to it online. But you might try this link https://www.fireplaceantiques.co.uk/services maybe they can stir you in the right direction. During this search I did not know that Godin made some really neat cylinder stoves. But maybe someone on this site can come up with some other ideas.

That's a "Salamandre" made by E. Chaboche. They're known for their very high build quality. (It might be a Godin if you can find a name plate on it, but Salamandre was the original one in that style; you'll see several other makes are now dubbed "salamandre" because they're in the same style).

You can get an idea of its worth quite easily, as there are always several for sale on leboncoin (the French version of craigslist). Here you go:

Dealers also sell them, at which point the price rises sharply. Try "poêle à bois Salamandre" in your search engine if you want French results.

As you'll see from some of the photos, the problem with the stove model is that the hole at the back to take the conduit is lozenge shaped - pipes that shape are hard to find. It's a lovely art nouveau object, though.
