Hello everyone, I'm new to this group. I have recently acquired a 1852 Franklin Fireplace (AKA Pennsylvania Fireplace, Circulating Stove) and am working to install it as a functional fireplace in my home. There is one problem, The oval in the rear of the stove is 14 3/4 x 4 1/2.... I can't seem...

It looks like the year of the patent for the design, although the company could have been founded then as well.Don't know too much but someone else had one of these a year ago. 1852 may be the company's founding date.
