I like my wildlife including our coyotes and bear but I'm glad we don't have mountain lions around.
A friend near Boulder CO had his golden retriever taken and killed by one.
 
another note, a standard chain is not the best choice- either a skip or ripping is better. Generally 10 degs across the top of the tooth is prefered. if the bark is staying on ( in other words not pre debarking) semi chisel is a better choice.
