The last few times I have cleaned my PF 100 the ash pan is full of hot coals and I am having to wait for them to cool down to clean. I am using the same pellets as I always have. It doesn't seem to be burning the pellets effectively. I need some help with what I should be looking at.

Turn your feed rate down. If it's at 5 turn it to 4.5 and watch it. Ideally you want the pellets to stop burning about 1" from the end of the burn pot.

You may have to adjust it a couple of times until you find the sweet spot.

Mine is auto by thermostat. I have both down and I am still finding the same issue

Page 22 and upper right hand corner of figure 42 is what I'm talking about. Turn that setting down by 1/2 step and see if unburned pellets are still falling into the ash pan. If they are turn it down 1/2 step again. If it's set on 6 turn it down to 5 and 1/2
