Yep, that's right folks....it's 99% efficient. And even the stove company website says it's 99% efficient. I never knew there was a pellet stove this good  .....any thoughts, comments?

he is claiming 99% COMBUSTION efficiency. All that means is it burns 99% of the fuel. All heaters are that efficient - of not 100%. Well, except wood stoves which leave more ash and uncompletely burned coals. CONVERTING the heat gained from the burn into heat that is transmitted to it's environment is the efficiency rating tha matters.

I agree w/ you in general on the burn efficiency, but the following statement from the ad is a little misleading, don't you think?

"At 99% efficient Country Flame pellet stoves are rated #1 in combustion efficiency". I think the first time pellet stove buyer might assume from that the stove is 99% efficient, when in reality we all pretty much know that pellet stoves are generally in the 75%-83% range.

I totally agree with you. We could start another thread on marketing ethics... ;)

Gotta agree w/ both of ya, it's a pretty sleazy marketing move, HOWEVER, the 99% COMBUSTION EFFICIENCY is clearly stated. Don't get me started on how the need to protect the first time buyer that's too busy to do his own research and due diligence gripes my fuzzy red....um....yeah, neck, that's it.
