Greetings from Argentina. I don't want to take up your time, but I have a question regarding the wood-burning stove I bought..
The stove works, but it doesn't do "double combustion" and I don't think it's being efficient. Try to make a picture of the internal workings.
As you can see in the image, on the back of the firebox, there are two rows of holes that serve as the main air intake, one row almost at the base, and the other at the top, and they cannot be closed, they are always open.
What I think happens is that it creates internal turbulence because instead of circulating the smoke, the rear intakes and the air that comes down from the front of the glass and the baffle don't allow it to burn properly.
The air opening control only closes the airflow passing in front of the glass. When it is closed, the flame and consumption are the same; the only difference is that the entire glass becomes sooted.
My question is whether there are any modifications to improve combustion. Sorry for taking up your time, and thank you very much in advance.

This looks familiar. What is the brand of stove and model?

Is the back of the stove removable? If not, look on the underside to see if there is a supply opening for the rear air. If there is, perhaps something could be rigged as a valve to control that back air?

Its an argentinian brand, its called Tromen Austral A15, the back its not removable, the primary air intake are two rows of tiny holes, one near the down part, ant the other near the top, I’m attaching photos. I understand the ones at the bottom feed the flame, but what about the ones on top?

Yes, I saw the holes. The question is, where is the intake for those holes? At the back of the stove or on the bottom?

Sorry i didnt understand your question, the intake are in the back, both row of holes are on the back, there is a space between the holes of the firebox and the "external case" of te stove where the air goes up like convection

The simplest way to increase control may be to add a damper to the stove pipe (conducto).
