Hello,
Hoping for some assistance from any experienced ICC Excel installers.
Specifically, I am in process of an installation an am confused by the directions for fastening sections.
The manual directs aligning the seams and fastening though the piloted holes. My issue is that the holes are not visible in the slot unless tremendous downward compression is applied. Even then, the pilot holes are barely visible.
The ICC video on YouTube describes fasting as ”Zip, Zip, Zip”. This is not that.
Are the pilot holes required for correct mating or, is fully seated and field derived fastener holes (into the reinforced section) the standard?
If the former is required, is there a method to achieve the required compression to align the pilot holes?
