Info on a Vista Flame Pellet Stove

Hey, I'm looking to get some info on a Vista Flame stove for a friend of mine. He has a chance to buy one for $1,500.00. I don't know anything about the stove & told I'd ask around. Anyone know anything about them and if so is that a good price? I think he told me it was last years model. The newer model goes for $3,000.00

I have a VF100 VistaFlame but you don't mention what model you are asking about.

Vista flame is sub of Sherwood Ind. They are also the Makers of Envrio and Regency. Lots of good stoves from them.

What model In particular? The VF-100? VF-55? VF-170?
