Question:
10 or more years ago, I bought a large Surdiac coal stove to heat my home. For a number of reasons, we haven't used the stove in several years. Now I want to use it again and I can't find the instruction manual! I apologize for this presumptuous request but do you know of any way I can obtain a manual? The stove is in perfect condition and I want to use it safely and keep it that way. I can't find a model number but it was the largest model available at the time as I recall. Many thanks in advance for your assistance. (I hope I have the right Surdiac!)
Answer:
Jack, the Surdiac manual was very poor, and we always had to give other instruction. Most of that is contained in our coaltips at https://www.hearth.com/what/coaltips.html
Jotul bought Surdiac, then dropped the line at a later date. You can try emailing Jotul ([email protected]) or calling Woodman Associates (they took over the Surdiac parts business from Jotul) at https://www.hearth.com/partsplace.html
