Greetings,

After searching about hearth.com and other resources, I've learned that my fireplace may be a Heatilator, and it may not be safe to use.

The bottom two vents contain fans.

Does everything look good? And, do I need to run the fans to use the fireplace?

Many thanks in advance.

It may be fine or it may not be. We can't tell from a picture or two. The flue system and fireplace needs an on site inspection by a certified sweep. If the chimney and firebox is proper and in good condition then it may be fine.
