I'm going to change the gasket on my ash pan door and I would like to remove it first but the top pin won't come all the way out. in order to remove it. Is there a "trick" to removing the door? Thanks

It's been a while since I worked on a 3CB, but if you remove the Ash Lip,
will that give you the needed clearance to get the pin out?

Nope. If that didn't work, then I think
you're gonna hafta replace the gasket IN SITU...
