Hello:
I am new to forum, and have been reading alot on here recently. I am needing to replace the current insert in my camp due to it rotting out. It is the only source of heat there and after alot of research and looking, im thinking of going with a buck 74. however after reading through the manual for it they say 15' minimum chimney height. My chimney is about 12-13' from top of chimney to about where top of stove would be. I do meet the 2' down 10' over to roof rule. I plan on putting in a stainless liner kit in. in the pictures there is a sheet metal extension that I planned on removing. I have never burned in a efficient wood burner before so I dont know what to expect. the old insert was home made and an incinerator. Do you guys think I will have draft problems? should I extend chimney with pipe? I saw a post where they mentioned chimney top adapters to go to stove pipe? Or do you think it will be ok. any input appreciated. thanks
