I have a kozy heat Olivia PC Pellet stove. last season I put in a new igniter $160 and a new indoor fan about $150. The igniter died a few weeks into this season, this is third igniter by the way.and now the fan is starting to make same noise that old fan made before I replaced it.
The fan has this strange rubber bearing on one end that allows it to move toward and away from motor. If it moves to close to motor the edge of the fan blades just touch the housing and make a ticking noise. Just touching the housing or motor slightly with a finger tip will either make it worse or disappear for a few days. That's how the old one started until it got so bad it never went away. Nothing is warrantied for more then a year even though you only use it for 3 months a year.
So my question is how long should these parts last?
Is kozy Heat just a low quality stove?
It was given to me by someone who (very wisely) moved someplace that will never require a pellet stove.
Are there any non OEM sources for these parts?
Fortunately I am an HVAC Tech so can replace the parts myself but at these prices thats not much consolation.
