Where is a good place to learn gasification as pertaining to outdoor wood boilers - most I've seen pertains to wood-gasification for running vehicles.

I'm not asking for trade secrets nor copies of how a specific manufacturer does it.
 
Most do it about the same way. You can look at the cutaway diagrams for boilers, such as the ones here:
