Wherever we're parked
A month ago I was away for a couple of days as The Patriot Guard Riders of New York were tasked with bring a Casket (6' x 9') Flag (named "Liberty") to fly over the Gettysburg, Antietam & Harpers Ferry Battlefields in honor of the Sons of Hoosick Falls, New York, whose live were lost in those Civil War battles. Here is the link to the transfer of "Liberty" from the American Legion in Hoosick Falls to PGRNY. We hadn't had a whole lotta practice folding Old Glory, & we'd never done it in front of an assembly, but we pretty much nailed it.

I will admit my D&C is a little rusty, too...

Here's the link to Phase 1 of the mission:

Liberty was handed off to PGRVA & she has now flown over an additional 13 Civil War Battlefields in Virginia, North Carolina, South Carolina, Georgia, & Louisiana.
When she returns to New York, I hope to be part of the escort to bring her back to Hoosick Falls, & deliver her to her home base before she travels to Europe to honor the WWI & WWII fallen...

Looks good! I had tons of practice folding the flag back in my days in the Boy Scouts. It's a shame so few people know how to properly treat a flag anymore.

Last year a I saw engagement photo's of a friend of a friend while she was wearing the flag as a shawl with her Marine fiance. He should have known better!!!
