This was the last log of the day. It has no bark, lots of check marks and I thought I would just wack this out and call it a day. Well, let me tell you it kicked the crap out of me. It was like wrestling a king size matress up stairs with a skinny wife.
Anyway, I think it is an ash. It did not cut easy with the Rancher, had to sharpen the chain twice by the time I was done and I need to do it again. There was no bite to it at all. It kept skipping like I was cutting ceramic. But when I was done I put the moisture meter on it and think I found out why why it sucked to cut. It's dry already
. Is this ash? I'll bet half of this can be used this winter. What do you think?
Thanks,
Bruce
