Hi all. We moved into our house and there is a Jotul wood burning insert. I’m trying to identify it but I don’t see any marking anywhere and don’t see a matching one when I search online. Any help would be greatly appreciated. It does have a plug and a blower. Bottom panel has a magnetic flip down for the ash box with the slider air intake. Thank you

Hi, At a minimum there should be a UL sticker or data plate on it. Probably on the side.

OK, that was a stumper. It definitely is not one of the inserts out of Maine. I finally found a picture of one, at an auction... in France. That leads me to suspect this is a European model. If so, it may not have a UL label.

It appears to have an interesting baffle. I was wondering if it was catalytic? Can you post some interior pictures?

did the one in France give an age or year of manufacture? Just curious.

No, there were not a lot of details, just that it was a wood insert.

whoa! Yeah that’s essentially what I have. Mine doesn’t have any baffles on top just the top plate with like the opening and closing lever for the flue damper.

Any way to get a pic of it? Someone may be able to pick out what we're looking for.
