Some of the stoves I have seen call for a millivolt thermostat. I have a low-voltage (24vac) remote programmable thermostat just collecting dust. Couldn't I just add a 120vac to 24vac transformer (door bell supply) to feed the 24vac thermostat. Then use the Tstat heat output wire to power a N.O. 24vac coil relay. The relay terminals would connect to the stove millivolt thermostat terminals. I think I can get the transformer and relay for about $10 each or less.
It would be nice to be able to put the Tstat anywhere I want without running any wire.
